Useful jQuery Plugins for improving Typography

Its always been challenges for web developer to improve and manipulate web typography. But thanks to the ease and popularity of JQuery, that made things easy. Now you can do this very fast and innovative way using JQuery Plugins. In this post We will discuss few useful JQuery plugins that can make your job easy.

1. Textualizer

Textualizer is a lightweight jQuery plugin that’s create good looking effects on text. This plugin accepts any number of sentences and can rotate them smartly and beautifully.
Actaully its very smart plugin as any sentence starts to rotate with the other one the letters that will be re-used are kept and move to their new locations with several effects to choose from (fadeIn, slideLeft, slideTop). The plugin is flexible, we can define the duration that each item will be displayed and also the duration of the transitions. You can also stop or pause the rotation.

2. jqIsoText

During web page design, you needs to make pages more attractive and eye catching. There is many techniques are available to do that. One of them is jqIsoText. Using this plugin, you can change size of letters in text. This starts from one font size and increment or decrement to other font size. you can also do for whole block of text or for every word in some text.

3. Arctext.js

You use CSS3 that allows to rotate letters but it is very complicated to arrange each letter along a curved path. Arctext.js is a jQuery plugin that let’s you do exactly that. Arctext.js has Lettering.js, that calculates the right rotation of each letter and distributes the letters equally across the imaginary arc of the given radius.

 

4. BigText

The BigText jQuery plugin takes a single element and sizes the text inside of its child <div>s  to fit the width of the parent element. Gives the text that beautiful vertical alignment.

 

5. jQuery Text Resizer

jQuery Text Resizer is a text resizing plugin. it resizes text on demand by the user. You have seen many sites have options to enlarge or decrease the size of the website’s text.

 

6. slabText

This plugin splits headlines into rows before resizing each row to fill the available horizontal space. The ideal number of characters to set on each row is calculated by dividing the available width by the CSS font-size – the script then uses this ideal character count to split the headline into word combinations that are displayed as separate rows of text.

 

7. FitText

FitText plugin makes font-sizes flexible to use. By using this plugin, you can make scalable headlines that fill the width of a parent element.

 

8. Lettering.js

Lettering.js is a jquery plugin that provide you full control over your page’s letter design.
